CMYK + R

Screen Printing on Rives BFK, 16 x 12, 2013

This is a screen printing project I have been working on to transform my digital photography project Neo-Japonisme that has lots of complex patterns and details into physical and material-based prints.

From Digital to Physical

In order to convert a digital image to a physical copy, the color space has to be turned from RGB into CMYK, where four layers of color have to be separated from the original image. All the details can then be preserved physically by this technical and very time-consuming craft.
