Mengyu Chen is a creative developer, researcher and artist whose work examines how mixed reality environments, computational artifacts, and networked social experiences can affect our behaviors and perceptions of ourselves and others. Mengyu designs and builds his own interactive systems, VR story worlds, audio-visual narratives, and robotic devices to delineate the complex intra-active relationships that are entangled within our perceived reality. After completing his Master’s degree in Digital + Media at RISD and a PhD in Media Arts and Technology at UC Santa Barbara, he is now a research scientist on the Global Technology Applied Research AR/VR team at JPMorgan Chase.
