Phases
Experimental Video, 2014
Phases is an experimental video composed of "trash" image data I collected from public computers. Images that are supposed to be disposed in the trash bins of those computers are recovered and compressed together, so that the information contained by these images are blurred. Questions on data privacy and mass image production in this digital age are all compressed into this video, which may in the future get disposed and abandoned again.
Composition
10 TB data restored from public computers
2000 + images were processed into the video
Audio composition also made with sound files from the "trash" can
Visual Fragments
Images layered on top of each other are not recognizable any more. A new aesthetics is formulated with a blurred vision that goes beyond mental representation
